They are offering a new way of listening to music. I really like the way they are offering navigation and how you can choose a genre and a mood/vibe.
It simply rocks!
Excellent example of mash up culture

Update!
Now there is also a Star Trek Track…
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4327822273611416271Mixing a poor eurotrance hit and mixing in quotes from The Lord of the Rings
Another example is the weird and scary mash up of Transformers and Leonard Nimoy’s Ballad of Bilbo Baggins

Amusing but also a bit scary.
We live in the age of mixing rather than producing new material…

Joi Ito on web 2
December 1st, 2006
Intresting point made by one of the grand old men of blogging.
To me, Web 2.0 is about trying to get right those layers of the stack that we weren’t able to get right the last time around.
One of the central themes of Web 2.0 is the ability for users to control their own data and the ability for people to share and remix. In this context, many, if not most good Web 2.0 services allow users to download, link and reuse all if not a substantial part of the content they work on.

I think that hits one of the new web2 paradigms right on. Don’t lock users in by holding their data captive – allow them to export, and keep offering a service that is so good that they don’t want to do it.
Still I also find youtube.com to be web 2 – even thoght it does not offer a one zip file download of the users content.

November 29th, 2006
I could not believe this – two people are batteling on who can draw the coolest looking car in MS paint…
One person posts this:
How to draw a car in MS. Paint

Amazing… but then this other guy posts:
Re: How to draw a car in MS. Paint
The skill is simply awesome… They are taking MS paint to the max – its true internet culture.
BTW: someone made MS Paint as a html, CSS and JavaScript based web app.
