I am getting lazy just posting videos but here is a real nice one:

Multi-touch UIs are kewl and I am sure they will have some sort of impact one we get larger displays as a commodity.

You can touch and manipulate things directly on the displays surface, and the display registers more than one touch at a time. It can also capture gestures enabling the interface to expand over what can be done with a mouse alone.

Multi Touch is certain to something we will see a lot more of.

I am not sure that I agree that the menu system is easy to use as the reporter keeps saying…

Basically I am offended by something “looking easy”. I would much have preferred him saying that it feels easy.

Anyway – I will take a closer look once I get my hands on one. It reminds me very much of the menu style that is found on Sony DVD camcorders they also feature the “large 3D’ish circles”.

I will be @ MobileHCI 2006

I hope they are not all just dreamers ^^

It will be VERY interesting to see, what kind of approach these professionals have towards Mobile Interaction Design.

I hope there is a few eye openers coming my way. I am very much stuck in: Tasks, personas, scenarios and Design Patterns.

The latter seems to be taking me towards the structuralistic language theory.  I am not sure that is the simplest way to do Users Experience Design.

A Live interface

@mobiface.com there is a nice post on an extra *interface* gyroscopic feature:

It moves as you tilt  ^^ – there is also a link to additonal photos of the cool Japanese water concept phone. Its it pop – surely but nice never the less.

This is kind of cool. I think you really have to see it live but there are videos.

Its build with leds that are put in ping pong balls for diffusion.

I really want to see that live… but if I go to the Netherlands will I really go to “Welkom op de Lustrumpagina…” – naaah… :-)
