Wisdom of Crowds: ask500people.com
November 1st, 2007
Well, I feel bad that I did not come up with this nice and clean concept.
Its great @ ask500people.com you can *erhm* ask 500 people…
It’s simply brilliant.
Examples of things people asked:
Do you think you’ve ever had food poisoning from eating at an Olive Garden (restaurant chain)?
Do you hear more than one language when you walk around where you live?
Would you agree to give up an organ or limb for $100,000 ?
And lots more – It’s great fun to watch too
Uncle Scrooge’s money bin
November 1st, 2007

A model of Uncle Scrooge’s money bin, built by following Don Rosa’s and Dan Shane’s blueprints from the Don Rosa story “Beagle Boys Vs Money Bin.”

Gold coins? In opposition to American comics, the Scandinavian vault contains gold (or, at least, yellow) coins. But Scrooge filled his bin with ordinary pocket money, not gold coins! After realising that, I recoloured the money. (I did the same mistake with the $-sign on the facade. That’s supposed to be concrete too. Those european colourists..)

The vault door, seen from the vault. I wouldn’t get trapped on that side of the door!
