BBC has a nice overview of the Internets history.
They have a timeline with additionel ressorces – It’s still nice and quick reading =)
Did you know that the first webcam was made because some scientists did not want to go up a flight of stairs to check if there was fresh coffe in the pot – that right; they made a camera that would allow them to see via. http :D
